Sysology Inc. has been providing computer related
consulting to Canada's business community since 1977
- first as a sole proprietorship and then as an Ontario
based private corporation - supplying programming,
networking and systems analysis expertise to the insurance
industry, large financial institutions, large government
organizations, and large retail corporations.
In 1979, Sysology expanded into the small retail
business area supplying retail businesses with early
Personal Computer hardware/software solutions based
on the Intel 8080 and Zilog Z80 based CPM systems.
These early systems were for Jewellery stores, small
accounting firms, and some travel agents, with the
accounting system running on a multi-user Z80 based
platform.
Sysology was incorporated in 1982, and has continued
to supply both large systems consulting expertise
and small business systems and networking solutions
on an ongoing basis to the present.
In Sysology's 22 years as a business, the company
has been a party to and a part of all of the exciting
developments in computer networking. From our early
networks, to recent Intranetware and Windows NT solutions,
Sysology has embraced new technology and utilized
its vast experience and knowlege to provide companies
with highest quality services.
As a logical progression, Sysology Inc. has been
very excited to enter a new frontier - the World
Wide Web. Initially, Sysology responded to requirements
from customers for intranets and for presence on the
World Wide Web. Hosting was the next step to providing
highest quality services for our present and future
clientele.

Significant projects over the past 15 years having
PC based solutions have included:
- Network installation and ongoing support for
medium size US city Police Department.
- Data Processing Services Development for several
medium size Mail Order/Telemarketing companies.
- Network upgrading and support for a multi-location
restaurant Head Office.
- Multi-location restaurant point-of-sale support.
Installation and support of Unix-based point-of-sale
for medium sized pharmacy.
- Developed and installed OHIP billing software
for both Family Physician and Optometry offices.
- HP 3000 based Online Order Entry/Billing/Tracking
system for Canada wide operation with remote based
PCs.
- Intel Micro-based Point-of-Sale Jewellery sales
package integrated with an inventory/accounting
package
- Retail Accounts Receivable system including point-of-sale
data entry, on-line data entry, and on-line inquiry
capability with password security system.
- Director of Information Technology for a Large
Milk Recording Corporation responsible for orchestration
of move to inhouse computer operations.
- Planning, installation, and ongoing operations
for a large AS/400 based system servicing a token
ring network supporting more than 150 PC-based user
workstations (government).
- Development of Comprehensive Data Processing
Standards including Systems, Programming, and Operations
for a mid-sized private corporation.
- Feasibility Study for a retail Accounts Receivable
system that included point-of-sale data entry, on-line
data entry, and on-line inquiry capabilities complete
with a password security.
- Project Management responsibility for the planning,
acquisition, installation, staffing, and software
selection required to service a midsize mail-order
operation.
- Project Management responsibility for development
of an Electronic Information Distribution System
to replace a large volume data printing operation
(large bank).
